How Pip Value Is Calculated
Pip Value = Pip Size × Contract Size × Trade Size
The result is then converted to your account currency using a live exchange rate when the quote currency differs from your account currency.
Example: For a standard lot (1.0) with pip size 0.0001, quoted in USD: - Pip Value = 0.0001 × 100,000 × 1.0 = $10.00 - If your account currency is EUR, this is converted using the live USD→EUR rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a pip?
A pip (Percentage in Point) is the smallest price movement in a financial instrument. In Forex, most pairs have a pip size of 0.0001. JPY pairs have a pip size of 0.01. Gold and other commodities may have different pip sizes.
How is pip value calculated?
Pip value is calculated as: Pip Size × Contract Size × Trade Size.
How does the currency conversion work?
This tool fetches a live exchange rate to convert your pip value from the quote currency into your account currency. Only the two currency codes are sent to the rate provider.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Rates come from a third-party public exchange rate API, for reference only — not for trade execution.
What happens if a live rate can’t be fetched?
The tool falls back to showing your pip value in the quote currency, with a clear note that conversion is unavailable.
